What is Cr8tive Futures ATL?
Cr8tive Futures ATL is a youth development program designed to prepare Atlanta teens for careers in the creative economy. Powered by The Plug ATL, our 6-week experience combines hands-on learning in film, music, podcasting, and digital arts with mentorship from seasoned industry professionals.

Whether it's behind the mic, in front of the camera, or inside the editing suite—students rotate through immersive labs like our 4-mic podcast studio, photography/video lab, and music production room. We teach with real industry equipment to reflect real industry standards.

Where creativity meets career readiness
We teach real-world skills that go beyond the classroom. From storytelling and audio production to branding and teamwork, students learn how to turn their creativity into career potential. Our focus on creative workforce development ensures every teen leaves with tangible tools and confidence.
Who this program is for
Creative Futures ATL is for middle and high school students—whether they dream of being creators, artists, producers, entrepreneurs, or simply want to explore something new. No experience is needed, just curiosity, commitment, and the desire to build something special.

In today’s economy, creative thinking, collaboration, and storytelling are among the most in-demand skills. Through project-based learning in film, music, and media, Creative Futures ATL equips youth with both technical and soft skills like communication, problem-solving, and leadership.

“Before Creative Futures ATL, I thought being creative was just a hobby. Now I know it’s a career. I learned how to record a real podcast, edit video, and work on a set. It made me take myself more seriously.”

“This was the first space I ever felt like my voice mattered. They didn’t just teach us how to use a camera — they taught us how to see ourselves as artists and leaders. I’m more confident and ready for whatever’s next.”
Amina, 17
“As a mom, I’ve seen my sons go from being unsure of themselves to coming home excited about what they’re building. This program doesn’t just teach media — it builds character, teamwork, and confidence. I’m beyond grateful.”
